I am someone who does not enjoy stretching. I don't have a good reason why, I just find it tedious. I'm always overwhelmed by the number of stretch choices that exist so I generally don't do it. It's a poor choice on my part!
I recently had some wild hip pain. The muscle spasms were pretty extreme. I tried so many remedies, stretches, and exercises, but nothing helped me relieve the pain. I couldn't get in and out of the car, I had a hard time getting dressed, and worst of all, I couldn't ride my bike! I ended up going to a wonderful physical therapist who did some dry needling. It worked! She also told me something I dreaded hearing: stretching is necessary.
I found Dynamic Cyclist a while back and didn't really use it until recently. I absolutely love it! I should have been using it all along! You can select which program to follow and the videos lead you through routines that will address issues you may be experiencing. Programs include injury prevention, strength training, daily mobility and stretching, and more. The injury prevention program has been my favorite so far. There are many sections of this program including low back, hips, and posture correction.
It's a great resource for any rider!
